We are seeking a Geospatial Consultant to join our team in Bristol.

YOUR IMPACT:

At Consultant level, you will support the delivery of defined technical tasks and contribute to project outputs, while developing your professional, technical and consultancy skills under guidance.

Technical Delivery:

  • Undertake geospatial analysis, data processing and mapping tasks to support project delivery
  • Work with spatial datasets to generate insights for infrastructure planning and design projects
  • Apply standard tools and methodologies, ensuring consistency and quality of outputs
  • Support the development of data visualisation and digital deliverables
  • Contribute to the integration of GIS within wider digital engineering (e.g. BIM/GIS workflows)

Project & Client Contribution:

  • Deliver assigned tasks to time, cost and quality requirements
  • Support project teams in achieving client outcomes through effective use of data
  • Contribute to clear and structured outputs, including maps, dashboards and reports
  • Participate in project meetings and begin to engage with, initially internal, clients where appropriate

Collaboration & Team Working:

  • Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams across infrastructure sectors
  • Build effective working relationships with colleagues and project stakeholders
  • Contribute positively to team knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives

Digital & Innovation Mindset:

  • Demonstrate curiosity and willingness to explore new tools and digital workflows
  • Support the adoption of automation and efficiency improvements where appropriate
  • Contribute ideas to enhance digital delivery across projects
Learning & Development:
  • Actively develop technical capability in GIS, data and digital tools
  • Seek feedback and apply learning to improve performance
  • Work towards relevant professional development goals (e.g. chartership or specialist accreditation)

ABOUT YOU:

We are looking for a motivated early-career professional with a good foundation in geospatial technologies and a desire to grow within a consultancy environment.

You will typically have:

  • Experience in a GIS/geospatial role
  • A relevant degree (e.g. GIS, Geography, Geospatial Science, Engineering or similar)
  • Experience using GIS platforms ideally Esri ArcGIS (Pro, Online, Enterprise)
  • Understanding of geospatial data management and analysis principles
  • Exposure to tools such as Python, SQL, ModelBuilder or FME
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to present data clearly
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to problem solving
  • Experience or interest in infrastructure sectors such as transport, urban development or planning is advantageous but not essential.
