THE OPPORTUNITY

Join Stantec's growing Water team in Ireland and play a key role in delivering innovative water infrastructure projects that support communities, protect the environment, and help address the challenges of climate change.

As a Project Engineer, you'll contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of a diverse portfolio of water network projects, working alongside multidisciplinary teams to develop sustainable solutions for clients across Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity to further your technical expertise while working on projects that make a lasting impact

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of water network infrastructure projects from concept through to construction support. You will develop detailed engineering designs for water networks, pumping stations, and associated infrastructure, while preparing feasibility studies, technical assessments, specifications, and tender documentation.

Working closely with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams, you'll provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, coordinate project deliverables, and support the development of junior team members to ensure successful project outcomes.

YOUR IMPACT

In this role you will:

  • Deliver high-quality engineering solutions for water network infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, specifications, and contract documentation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors, and key stakeholders.
  • Provide technical guidance throughout all stages of project delivery.
  • Support the development and mentoring of junior engineers within the team.
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of projects that improve critical water infrastructure across Ireland.

ABOUT YOU

We're looking for someone who is passionate about the water sector and enjoys working in a collaborative, client-focused environment. You'll combine strong technical capability with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.

You'll also have:

  • A Level 8 (or higher) qualification in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Strong post-graduate experience in the design and delivery of water network infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent technical knowledge and experience using relevant engineering design software.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality work to agreed deadlines.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently when required.
