You’re a Civil Engineer in the buildings sector who wants to take ownership of projects while continuing to develop your technical and client-facing skills. At Stantec, you’ll join our Civil Engineering team in Leeds or Newcastle, working across a range of development projects within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. This is a role where you’ll move beyond pure design, contributing to how projects are coordinated, delivered, and brought forward.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will play a key role in delivering civil engineering projects, taking responsibility for design coordination, technical quality, and supporting overall project delivery. You’ll work closely with design teams, attend project meetings, and ensure your outputs are aligned with wider project objectives.
Your work will include developing civil design packages covering drainage, levels, and external works, ensuring compliance with SAB requirements and other relevant standards. You’ll contribute to quality assurance across projects while supporting technical standards and continuous improvement within the team.
Alongside delivery, you’ll work with clients and stakeholders to support project progression, helping to ensure designs are practical, coordinated, and ready for approval and construction.
YOUR IMPACT
You’ll contribute to projects that shape communities across the region, helping to deliver developments that are practical, compliant, and sustainable. Your work will influence how sites are designed and brought forward, ensuring solutions meet both technical and regulatory requirements.
Internally, your impact will be seen in the consistency and quality of delivery. By collaborating across teams and contributing to technical standards, you’ll help strengthen capability while developing your own progression within the business.
