We have an exciting new opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer to join our growing MEP (Building Services) team based in our Cardiff office.

The Cardiff MEP team is a vibrant and exciting group of over 30 highly skilled engineers, technicians and building specialists, working at the forefront of the industry. We’re delivering two of the largest healthcare schemes in Wales, alongside some of the country’s most significant education projects and culturally important developments. The Opportunity:

You’ll be joining a highly motivated and collaborative team of engineers who are passionate about delivering sustainable, innovative solutions and who genuinely enjoy what they do. 

You will support the day-to-day technical delivery of electrical design services on multi-disciplinary building projects. You will support the production of high-quality design deliverables, including specifications, drawings, and schedules. 

You will mentor junior team members, including graduates and apprentices, and play a key role in their career development. 

About You:

You will be a degree qualified Electrical Engineer with a passion for delivering sustainable solutions for your clients and will have the following: 

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer in the UK, ideally with a track record or exposure to delivering both electrical and M&E solutions across varied building sectors. 
  • Familiarity with BIM processes and tools including Revit, Dialux & Elec OM / Amtech.
  • A collaborative mindset and experience working closely with architects and multidisciplinary teams. 

Qualifications:

  • A relevant qualification (HNC, HND, Bachelors or Masters) in Electrical Engineering or building services. 
  • Working towards chartership.
