The Opportunity

The Opportunity

Our Fire Risk Management team is growing, and this is a chance to join that momentum in a senior client-facing role with real influence. As an Associate Fire Risk Consultant, you’ll help shape the next stage of our growth, working with clients on complex fire safety challenges across a varied portfolio of buildings and sectors. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary business where fire risk sits alongside wider building, engineering and design expertise, giving you the platform to deliver practical advice, build trusted relationships and help develop a high-performing team.

About the Role

You’ll lead the delivery of fire risk consultancy services across a broad client base, taking ownership of technical quality, programme and client outcomes. This will include carrying out and reviewing fire risk assessments, and supporting clients as the regulatory landscape continues to evolve. The role will also involve oversight of more complex instructions, technical review of reports, mentoring consultants across the team and helping to convert opportunities into long-term client relationships. You’ll work closely with colleagues across Stantec to support multidisciplinary bids, contribute to team planning and strengthen how we deliver fire risk services across the region.

Your Impact

You’ll help our clients understand their duties, prioritise action and make better decisions about risk in occupied buildings and operational environments. Internally, you’ll raise technical standards, support the development of less experienced colleagues and help expand a team that is already seeing strong demand. Your work will contribute directly to safer buildings, stronger client confidence and sustainable growth for the business. The market expectation at this level is not just technical delivery, but leadership in quality, mentoring and client development.

About Us

You have strong experience delivering fire risk assessments and related fire safety advice across a range of building types and risk profiles.

You can review technical outputs, give clear direction to others and maintain high standards in reporting and client communication.

You are comfortable advising clients on practical, proportionate actions and explaining technical issues in a clear way.

You have experience supporting or mentoring junior consultants and helping teams develop capability.
