The Opportunity

You’re a Civil Engineer in the buildings sector looking for a role where you can take ownership and develop your influence across projects. At Stantec, you’ll join our Civil Engineering team in Cardiff, working on a diverse portfolio of development projects within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. This is an opportunity to move beyond pure design, contributing to how projects are coordinated, delivered, and brought forward.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will play a key role in delivering civil engineering projects, supporting the coordination and development of design solutions from concept through to construction. You’ll work closely with design teams, attend project meetings, and ensure your outputs align with wider project requirements and objectives.

Your work will include developing civil design packages covering drainage, levels, and external works, ensuring compliance with SAB requirements and other relevant standards. You’ll contribute to quality assurance across projects while supporting technical standards and continuous improvement within the team.

As your experience grows, you’ll take on increasing responsibility in project coordination and client interaction, contributing to the successful delivery of projects and the ongoing development of the team.

YOUR IMPACT

You’ll contribute to projects that shape communities across the region, helping to deliver developments that are practical, compliant, and sustainable. Your work will support how sites are designed and progressed, ensuring solutions meet both technical and regulatory requirements.

Internally, your impact will be seen in the consistency and quality of delivery. By collaborating with others and contributing to technical standards, you’ll help strengthen team capability while building your own progression toward more senior responsibility.
